Getting The Best Affiliate Marketing Mindset

May 31, 2008

by E Walker

Perfectionists will hardly ever accomplish anything. Sounds kind of contrary to what you would normally believe, but it is true. When an affiliate marketer spends most of his or her time attempting to perfect their affiliate marketing strategy, nothing is ever finished.

There are so many attempts being made right now in the internet marketing sector to divert your attention. Don’t get me wrong, there are some outstanding products available right now, but with so many affiliate marketers promoting them, we often become distracted. You may be working on a project with loads of potential, when all of a sudden you see some new product in the marketplace.

Naturally, you will begin to think, “I could make a ton of sales on that product.” So you put your current project on hold and you proceed to create a landing page, write some articles to drive traffic to your landing page, and you might even start an Adwords campaign.

There’s nothing wrong with this reaction, but think about this for a moment How often does a new product launch and appear in the marketplace? If I dropped everything I was doing every time I saw something I could sell at Clickbank.com or PayDotCom.com I would not ever be able to build this site. It is important to have a schedule when it comes to your affiliate marketing efforts.

Let’s face it. If you manage to graduate from affiliate to the level of Super Affiliate (Able to make huge sales in a single mailing.), then you will most likely quit your day job to work full time on affiliate marketing. It’s inevitable. Deep down, none of us want to have a boss or a constant, repetitious job, where we have to ask in advance to use the vacation time we have already earned.

Typically, many self-employed people have a hard-wired circuit for perfection. It’s only natural. What I’ve read has led me to believe that those of us who are successful, have a general deep rooted fear of failure. It’s this fear that drives us and motivates us to accomplish more than the average do-nothing. This isn’t a curse It’s just something to take note of when it comes to working for yourself.

The thing to remember is that in this business, efficiency is key. So use your perfectionism and direct it towards time management. Give yourself targets and deadlines to meet. Eventually, you will relax on your tight standards Now, I’m not saying that you should let everything just go to hell, but you are going to have to ease up a bit in order to accomplish anything.

Remember: All of the planning in the world is worth $0 if it is not put into effect.

Why Should Moms Work From Their Homes

May 27, 2008

by Elizabeth Clark

There are major opportunities and advantages for the stay-at-home mom. Discover how your children can reap the benefits also.

I will be discussing why so few moms work from home. And how this can be changed, even with a busy lifestyle.

There are reasons I will be covering briefly why so few moms work from home. Financial reasons for the middle-class mom to the mom on government assistance.

Beginning with the reason many moms choose to suffer working the conventional 9-to-5 job. There are reasons this is happening unnecessary.

1. A lack of confidence and the fear of failure.

2. Poor organizational skills and use of time.

3. Giving up too easy when problems arise.

4. Never experiencing the joy of financial freedom.

5. Not realizing the benefits your children will receive while you work from home.

6. Poor health and problems in the home.

If you want something bad enough, your focus will always be on the end result. I will briefly cover the reasons stressing the point, your end result should be financial freedom.

Seeing your children learning basic business skills that will help them become financially independent, should bring you great joy. Who to trust and where to start is the problem.

When you’re finally tired enough of your financial situation. And are willing to make a few sacrifices in the time management area. And realize that failure is only a stepping stone to success. Then you are ready to walk the road of financial freedom.

It’s important to write everything down to make the best use of your time. Then highlight the most important task of your day.

Assign priorities by using different colored highlighters. Or purchase a organizer. Organization is very important.

Do a google search for top ranked affiliate home businesses on the Internet. Learning about these businesses should be your top priority. Work with someone who treats you good. You do not want a bossy person.

If you really want to become financially independent, organization is your key. Understand that time is money. And the more organized you are, the more time you will save.

And when you throw away precious time you’re actually, throwing away your money. Or the opportunity to increase your income.

Remember, working from home is not as hard as you think. I’ve been doing it for years, at first I ran into bumps on the road. Only because I didn’t do my homework.

When I made up my mind to follow the person teaching me, who certainly was much smarter doing business then I was. And not to cater to the many unexpected family requests for small errands.

Don’t allow friends or even family members to sidetrack your goal to become financially independent. Once you are debt free you can easily devote more time to your family and friends.

When your children see your discipline and dedication to working from home, subconsciously you will be teaching them financial discipline.

This has a great effect on a young child’s mind. So don’t allow fear or lack of confidence to stifle your children’s success. They are watching you.

Instead of snacking watching TV and excess of use of the telephone; focused on learning how to work from home using your computer.

The public Library will give you access to a computer for a low fee. So if you don’t have a computer this is a great opportunity for you and your child. There are also home businesses that don’t require computers.

I’ve seen a few and their systems are simple yet profitable. There are some very nice health home businesses also. Everything you do in life boils down to your health.

Poor health can hinder your ability to focus. A profitable home business is based on a healthy lifestyle. A unhealthy and dysfunctional home environment will certainly hinder your ability to focus on financial success. This is definitely not good for your children.

Starting a home business is much harder for low income families. It’s looked at as a great challenge. But it’s far better than working a dead end job. It can be very rewarding.

There are no startup costs if you choose a affiliate home business. If you don’t have a computer the public Library has computers you can use for a small fee. The library is a great place to start a home business for affordability.

So mom why not strive for financial freedom and to live a healthier lifestyle. Start organizing your time and daily schedule.

This will definitely required sacrifice, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Go online and find someone who is actually doing a affiliate home business.

Ask questions and do a little research using some Internet search engines. Visualize where you want to be in the next five years. Then take action. The knowledge you’ll gain will benefit you and your children.

Smelling success and tasting success are two different sides of the coin. You never know until you try. What we usually fear is un-seen opportunity.
