Dedication to my Goals Let me Succeed

I would have to say that success doesn’t come easy. Let’s face it - it is a lot of work. But if you are dedicated to your dreams, you too can succeed in life.
Don’t be discouraged - I just want to be honest with you. It took me seven years to get to the point where I was able to say that I succeeded, though I haven’t made it to the point where I want to be yet. Needless to say, I have been able to leave my fulltime job to pursue my business full time, so it is a step in the right direction.
One of my biggest challenges was to stick to my guns no matter what happened. Unfortunately, there was no magic formula that I could follow to succeed, and no recipe for success. I wanted to quit many times, but I couldn’t give up on my dream - I just didn’t want to retire when I was too old to enjoy life.
Though I failed many times, I was dedicated to succeeding. I had a vision of where I wanted to be in ten years that included the money I had, the car I was going to drive, and the amount of money that I had in my bank account. It was this concrete goal that I had in my minds’ eye that helped me to make choices each day that took me closer to my dream.
But there were plenty of roadblocks along the way. My biggest roadblock was getting my wife aboard to share my vision. All she could see was all the money that I was spending, and the little(and in some months no) money that was coming in. She thought that I was just wasting my time and that I should just go get a regular job like everyone else.
If your spouse doesn’t support you, it can be an uphill battle. Thankfully, after I bought some groceries with the money that I made online, she quickly turned around - I guess all she needed was some physical proof that what we were doing was working.
From that point on, things got easier. Though I was not making a lot of money, I was making a larger profit each month. I continued to do the things that were making money and quit doing those things that were not. I was still dedicated to my dream and with each passing day, I was getting steps closer to living the life I had dreamed of.
It wasn’t until the last six months that I finally figured things out and was finally able to quit my real job. Not only was it the best feeling in the world, but I was finally able to live the dream that I had been holding with me each step of the way. It was through this dedication that I was able to make it to this point - if you want to have a story like this to share some day, you need to be dedicated too.
